
Zamzam Sirat is a dynamic project management and development practitioner with over seven years of experience driving strategic initiatives and fostering community engagement across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands.
Each team member brings a unique set of professional skills, including expertise in project management, community outreach, fundraising, advocacy.

She currently serves as Program Coordinator at Semi-Arid Resilience Network, where she has led impactful projects including a Digital Literacy Program supported by the UK Government, a UNDP-funded peacebuilding initiative in Garissa County and an End FGM project in Fafi sub-county supported by the Girl Generation. Her expertise spans project design, planning, evaluation, capacity building, resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement, with a strong commitment to promoting inclusive societies and empowering marginalized groups.
Zamzam holds a Bachelor in Development Studies from Mount Kenya University and is currently pursuing Masters in Gender and Development at Kenyatta University. She has completed extensive professional training, including a Senior Management Course at the Kenya School of Government, Dialogue for Peace Building with the United States Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding at Hekima Institute of Peace Studies and International Relations (HIPSIR). She has also conducted key research studies, including a Conflict Analysis in Dadaab for Garissa County Government with UNDP support and a Health and Nutrition study on maternal and childhood nutrition with Save the Children. Zamzam brings strong skills in partnership management, gender integration, and community-led development to the WAAP team.
