
Abdirahman Derow Maalim is a seasoned Program Management professional with over 14 years of experience in the development sector, specializing in multi-donor program implementation, stakeholder engagement and policy support across Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands.
Each team member brings a unique set of professional skills, including expertise in project management, community outreach, fundraising, advocacy.

He currently served as Programmes Director at Generations for Change and Growth Inc (GCG), where he provided organizational and technical leadership for donor-funded projects supported by UNDP, ECHO, FCDO, BHA, OFDA, DANIDA, USAID and the Global Fund. In this role, he liaises closely with County and National Governments to align interventions with local priorities, oversees program quality assurance and represents GCG at high-level forums advocating for sustainable community development.Abdirahman holds MPH in Epidemiology and Disease Control and BSc in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics from Kenyatta University and has completed extensive professional training in leadership, monitoring and evaluation, project management and peacebuilding. Prior to joining GCG, he served as Head of Programs at MOGROUP, where he managed multi-county community-based projects, supervised M&E and finance teams and ensured 100% donor compliance. He is fluent in English, Kiswahili, Somali, Borana and Arabic, and brings a deep commitment to driving sustainable change across diverse communities in Northern Kenya and beyond.
