Ambiyaayan Abdigani Bishar is a dedicated finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting and financial management. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from KCA University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board (KASNEB).
Each team member brings a unique set of professional skills, including expertise in project management, community outreach, fundraising, advocacy.
Mr. Derow has received different awards in Community Development Initiatives
Her expertise spans financial reporting, budget monitoring, internal controls and donor compliance skills she has honed through her current role as Finance Officer at Generations for Change and Growth (GCG) in Tana River County, where she manages project financial records, prepares donor reports, monitors expenditures against budgets, and ensures audit-ready documentation.
Prior to her current role, Ambiyaayan served as a Finance Clerk at Focused Approach Development Concern (FADC) and completed an internship at the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), gaining valuable exposure to both NGO and public sector financial management. She is proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite and is fluent in English, Kiswahili, and Somali. As Treasurer of WAAP, Ambiyaayan brings her technical expertise, attention to detail and commitment to financial accountability to support the organization’s mission of empowering vulnerable communities.
